TRAININC AT TRENTHAM. Steady and continuous rain fell at Trentiam yesterday monung, and ike going was heavy for the gallops. Practically, all. the work was done on the outside of the course proper, and consisted of halfpace work and sprinting None of the horses were eohooled. Nearly all,tho visiting hofscs had arrived, and a .couple of good gallops were registered during the morning. Muskeirj, wto is top weight in the Parliamentary Handicap, galloped sis furlongs, the last five, taking a shade over lmin. 9s«s. Sir Fnsco did a slow round and spruited up the etraiglit. Iranui was allotted a Biniiltir task. Pikopo finished just to front of Gold Dust and Polyanthus over six furlongs, run ih lmin. 28sec. Coronetted beat Stayboy, and another ovor six furloiigs, run ; in lmin. 24fioc. Seaman covered six tuilongs alone- in lmin. 27sec. Diamond Star was twenty yards in front of Kairoma at tho end.of six furlongs, covered in lmin. 23sec Pohutu and First t Mate did slow work.
