Twelve hundred of the ■Shah , * troops, under three Russian officers, attacked a united force of tho Bakhtian tribesmen and other Nationalists at Badaraek, twelve lnilea westward of Teheran. Tho tribesmen's position was shelled for two hours with four guns under cover, while £00 Persian Cossacks galloped across the plain aud occupied a email lull to tlio north' east. The Nationalists' two mountain guns replied at intervals, and dropped four sheila on tlio hill. Tho Cossacks retired, intending to renew the operations to-day.
