WATER FINDING.
REV. H. MASON AGAIN SUCCESSFUL. (By Teleeruph.—Special Correspondent.) . ... Auckland, July 2. ■•Thoßev.H; Mason has been successful in locating several streams of. water on Mount AVollingtbri.: Mr. 'Mason- went in quest of water at'the instance of the Romuera Road Board, which is'at present dependent on the Manukau Water Supply Board for tho supply for :tho district, and wishes' to find an independent source. Mr. ' Mason located about eighteen streams on the Panmure side of 'the, mountain. . Then,, ascending to the crater, he traced two largo streams down, the: other .side of the, mounts Both streams Wore ! 18 feet wide, and showed a big flow, of water, such a largo flow ( in fact, that tho twig the diviner held in his hands was •twisted where'he grasped it, and the physical reaction on the divinor was pronounced. Mr. Mason says there is an ; ample supply of water for the district. Jt/ie believed tbo two streams 'find "their way"into St. John's Lake, and.it is, proposed to tap them and carry the water through a pipe to the Mount 1 Hobson reservoir, three or four : miles away.
