WHEAT, YIELD, 8,772,790' BUSHELS. In the Gazette of.March 18 last thero appeared a return showing the estimated yield per acre of wheat, oats, and barley for the Dominion, viz.—wheat, 33 bushels; oats, .42 bushels,: and barley, , ' 34' bushels. Tho actual yields,': now. to hand, are. as follow :—'..-,.'. Wheat ........ ,3i,75 bushels per acrei '■ '~ Oats: ....;>... 46:46 bushels per acre, Barley ... ... 39.67 bushels per acre; ,- In regard to wheat, the latest return etatcs that the. areai for threshing was 252,391 acres/ and the total yield is computed at 8,772,790 bushels:, Thq amount of wheat and flour returned as; being on hand on October-31 last was 1)761,534,'' and the, amount imported between November 1 aiid February 28 last was 191,242 bushels. • : ■■' .' From November 1 to February 28 only 6113 bushels of wheat were exported, and the amount ' consumed (estimated at 6 bushels- per head of 963,000 population) .was 19.936,000, which left available on February- 28 8,783,423 .bushels: '.' , ..' ■ ''■:■■■ ■ '.' ■ ■ .
