FOOTBALL IN WELLINGTON.
Sir.—As an old player, allow mo to thank you for your, exposure of tho practice of the Poneke Football Club pirating tho members of bthor clubs. I naturally, like many other players of the a fond liking for my own club; and on - looking ahead I seo tho abolition of that .club' and all its pleasant associations into a district one, if their practices are allowed -to go on. All clubs uke'to win a championship, but there arc honours far more valuable than championships,/wheh; some clubs seem .to forget. Again thanking you.—l am, etc., » ■'■■ •' , ■'•-■ OLD PLAYER.
