In an interview accorded to the Manchester "Evening Chronicle," Mr. Grayson was quite explicit in his admission of the purpose which he and his friends have in view. Hβ was asked: "Will you form a new party, Mr. Grayson?" "It is too early to mako any emphatic declaration on that matter, but some such action will inevitably follow as soon as wo gather our forces together." "So it has come to this," comments , tho "Labour Leader, "that an I.L.P. member of Parliament', who is paid by the 1.L.P., io attempting to split the ranks of tho movement whicn he has used as a step-ping-stono to Parliament and popularity. Surely it is timo not only for the leaders, but for tho movement itself, to take drastic, action! We join with tho retiring national members of the Council in calling upon the men and women of tho I.L.P. to realise the situation, and to ropel with indignation the efforts of those who, whether inside or,outside the party, whether in the 'Clarion,' 'New Age, , or 'Justice,' or in the columns of thfe capitalist press, aro seeking'to wreck tho best and bravest Socialist organisation in tho land."
