STUDENTS' CARNIVAL.
At tho Concert Chamber of the Town Hall oil Thursday and Friday evenings next, the students of Victoria .College are holding their annual carnival. Tho students will sing their specially-written songs on topical subjects, varying from tho Dreadnought,gift to tho' prevailing fashions.' Some of the students have written a short sketch.for. tho occasion,'.'', entitled, "Shackleton ' OutShacked," which deals with tho attempt'by Shacldeton's; expedition to reach the Polo; and incidentally, makes certain • local references. 'No eifort is' being spared 'to: make the production a bucccss. Scenery has been specially painted by Miss Sybil Johnston, who has also arranged a song and danco for three spirits of, the ice and snow," who appear when the "out-shacking" party are in Antarctica.
