Sherman. A bed and bedding in a front room wero damaged by fire and smoke. , A gorso frro in Talavora Terrace occupied tho attention of the brigade at 10.42 o.m. yesterday. ' . .OUTBREAK.ON A STEAMER. . Early yesterday morning the Fire Brigade wore summoned to tie Arapawa, lying at tlio wharf; where some clothing in tho steward's eahin had caught fine. Tho Wazo was, however, extinguished before the brigade reached the wharf, and before any serious damage was done.
