Sir,—About three years ago tbe Council raised a Joan for a' considerable amount, on the authority of the ratepayers, for tho express purpose of continuing the tramway in Molesworth Street through Charlotto Street to a point in Quay opposite the Police Station.'-1 have been for a long time looking everywhere to see what has become of the money. 'Certainly it has not been spent anywhere near Charlotte Street. Could you, sir, or his 'Worship tho Mayor arid councillors givo the heavilytaxed ratepayers who voted tho long-lost money any idea what has become of it?—l ■am, eto., : RATEPAYER. :June 11, 1909.
