i PROVINCIAL CONFERENCE. •' At the annual Provincial Conference of the Hawke's Bay Farmers', Union held on Friday afternoon (says our special Hastings correspondent), an interesting communication from the president, Mr. H: ,M. Sanders, -who resigned owing to his having to leave for England, was read by the secretary. 'Itgavo an extensive outline of the present position of the industry and thejrospects. , * ;! A remit from the Hastings branch—"That this union approves of the proposed'; Land for. Settlement Financial" Bill, and that wo forward ■ a remit to the Provincial Committee to discuss the Bill, and to give it every support", —-was approved. ' "■■. ;'., ■; .' ; "■•■. ■;'■'■'' .. Tho following resolutions wero also carried:
