Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report on their Levin sale held yesterday as follows:—A' good yarding, consisting of 1500 sheep , and 100 cattle, sold readily at auction, and practically a total clearance was effected at tho following rates:—Fat wethers, 13s. 5d.; GOO two and'- four-tooth wethers, lis.' 2d., lis. 5d., to lis. ~10d.;'cull ewes, ss. sd. r aged breeding ewes, 7s. 3d.; two-tooth wethers, 9s. 5d.; cull lambs, 3s. 4d.; others, ss. 2d; to ss. 5cT.; fat cows, ~£s; two and a half-year steers, JE3 lis.; forward cows, .£3 ss. to .£3 lis.; spring calving! heifers, .£3 -is.; GdJ; others, .£3 25.; empty heifers, .£1 175.; small'heifers, 295.; store cows, Jil 18s. to '£2 35.; small weaners, 10s.; cull weaners, 6s. Messrs. Abraham and Williams report:—At out Levin sale yesterday .we had a fair yarding of sheep, and a good yarding of cattle. Tho market, in sympathy with other centres,. was better—sheep soiling readily at auction in advanco of recent quotations. Wo sold every pen of sheep, and, with one or two exceptions, • all , tho cattle. Wo quote :—Empty forward 75.; lambs, 75., Ss. Reporting on their Feilding sale yesterday Messrs. Dnlgety and Company state that there was a medium entry of sheep and cattle. Good lariibs met with good competition; also springing cows.. At Feilding o» Friday there was a small entry of sheep, and a medium entry of cattle. The recent rough weather prevented several lines of sheep coming forward.
