ASSOCIATION GAME. THE NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL.; A meeting of tho Council of the New' Zealand Football-Association was held in tho Y.M.C.A. Booms yesterday evening, Mr. J; J; Roberts presiding. ■"■'".■' The Wanganui Association appjicd for. affiliation with the New Zealand Association. Tho application was granted, the o Wellington Association having altered their Boundaries to suit the new arrangement. A proviso was added that Woodviile and Palmerston; North be included in the Wellington district. Tho -Wellington Football Association forwarded the following resolution:—"That negotiations be entered into with the. Football Association (England), through Mr. A. E. Gibbes, to see'. if. it is not possible for that body to invest some of its surplus funds in.-New Zealand." The secretary intimated that the suggestion had reference to grounds. Tho secretary .of the Blenheim ' Association wrote v intimating that ho ; did not anticipate any:trouble.in. guaranteeing .£25 for a.match with the South African team. 'The council agreed that the intimation was very tory..The Auckland Football Association intimated that Messrs: H. Mayer and; J. M. Oilier had been appointed its delegates to-the New Zealand Council.
