Tho problem of space for wool storage and for the display of wool at sales was again before the Harbour Board yesterday, and was discussed for a considerable timo in committee. The following .resolutions were eventually agreed to:— (1) That plans be prepared forthwith for a two-story building to occupy tho J shed sito, tho walls to bo of brick or ether permanent material, the ground floor to provide for bulk stoi'.igo and dumping, and the ,nppcr floor to bo ni-li lighted and macie suitable for wool exI .'j:thn purposes; and that appliances suitable I' ' .indling the special commodity be in- :■ , ltd. I hat a temporary shed be erected on tho red land at the head of the King's • for. tho reception: of wool for the season L - !0, ill'viow'of, tho.fact, that J shed cannot b> i'.-built by the end of the coming October; such temporary shed to bo built of iron, tho plans to bo at once prepared, and the work to he proceeded with immediately. ■ The board also accepted tenders for two hydraulic wool-Dresses.
