' '■', Auckland, April 15. _A large number of Maoris arc assembled at Huntly, the object of the meeting being to facilitate tho settlement of unoccupied Nativo lands under the provisions of tho. new Act, by which one-third-remains in the possession of the Natives, one-third is leased, and onethird is sold. ■. The Hon. Mahuta and Mr.. Honare Knihnn are tho leaders of tho movement. Tho Hon. A. T. Nguta and Dr. Buck, M.P., will arrive to-morrow, and the business of tho mooting will not commence till then.
