WINTER EXHIBITION.
Our Auckland correspondent writes Arrangements are now; well -in hand for the winter, exhibition to be held by the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association at the railway wharf sheds, commencing on May. ... Applications for space are coming in rapidly, and the task that will, froni present appearances, confront. the Space Committee shortly, will be, not how. to cover.the acre of floor apace available, but how to fit the exhibition within that, limit. The idea that a winter show consists of a few boxes of butter, some eggs farm seeds, etc., will be. for ever exploded by-the-exhibition. ■ It will-contain courts and divisions full of'great interest to every section of the community, town or country, and "the whole scheme will be carried out in one decorative design. No better illustration of the progress and the development of Auckland province could bo devisecl than the _ winter exhibition,. and the number and variety of industries represented mil astonish very many people who. believe themselves fairly convorsant' with the different districts of the province. - A telegram has been received by the secretary of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Associa"(Jw Mr - E - Clifton, director of experimental farms, stating that authority has .recoived from the Prime Minister to ® ? ™ e ? Jl' 4 A S«cultural Department at the exhibition.
