The first was on Saturday last.... There was a preliminary movement commencing at 3.35 p.m., and a second'phase fivo minutes later, followed by long waves. At 3.43 p.m. severer tremors vere recorded. On Monday the preliminary phase was at 11.9 a.m., lasting four minutes. The second Dhaso then commenced, lasting six minutes. The largest wave had an amplitude of three millimetres. The tremors did not ceaso till 12.56 p.m>
