, Heavy rani Jell here on Sunday, and on Monday tho Manawatu Kivcr was bank high. Easter Monday was warm and sunny, and tho bowling green Was well patronised. Mr. J. Olesou was first in tho singles competition for Mr. W. H. Gunning's trophv, and Mr. A. Smith was second. Messrs. A. Smith and Esson won tho pairs competition for Mr. Gunning's cruets, the donor and Mr. J. Mitchell being nmners-up. A party ofFoxlon tennis players drove over, and the local courts were in full swing all day. In tho evening tho Druids held a successful fancy-dress ball in their new hall.
