Mon Ami took thi lead from Aberbrothock,' Hermia, and Vi At the end of two furlongs Aberbrothocl had lost his position, and Hermia and Long uer were Mon Ami's nearest attendants Mon Ami led into tho straight just aheac of Hermia and Longner, while . Tanekahj commenced to move up on tho outside. Moi Ami shook off Hermia, but at tho half distance she was collared by Tanekaha, wh< went on and won comfortably by a clea leugth from Mon Ami, who was two length ahead of Saudstream; Vi was fourth, am Lougner fifth. From a fair start, Waipaku went to tli front, followed by Ulilanrlo and Mahutf with Paiono last. Waipaku led past th judgo's box four lengths ahead of Mahutc who was closely followed by Uhlando, Arc light, Tangcroa, and Belario, while Anoinqn and Paiono were still last. Half a mil from home Mahuta had dropped right ou of the hunt, and Waipaku had six length lead of Uhlando, who was followed by- Arc light, Belario, and Anemone. Uhlando mad a gamo effort to reduce Waipaku's lead, bu tho Conqueror mare came on full of runniii, and won by three lengths from Uhlando who was two lengths ahead of Arclight after whom came Bolario, Tangeroa, ahi Paione, while Tangimoana and Slahuta wer last to reach tho winning post.
