Two delightful anecdotes were told by Miss Kobbins, the woll-known. authoress, in a-recent lecture upon "Shall Women Work?" A learned scientist was laying down' the law'upon women s suffrage. His objection was that it. would make, thernitake .well-paid professional posts, ftntrneglect- their , one .duty—nlarriage. 'Miss Bobbins ? The scientist's • re- , ply -was delightfully ,ingenuous-"They ■ won't marry because they will prefer to enjoy them'eelvcs.
