OPERA HOUSE COMPANY.
The directors of tho Wellington Op°ra House Company, Limited, in their annual report for the year ending March 31 Inst, recommend that a dividend of 51 per cent, be -paid thus together with 7 per cent, paid on September 30, making tho dividend 12} per cent, for tho year. They also recommend that the usual bonus of .£lO5 to the directors be declared; that the dividend, and bonus be made payable on and after April 19,-1909; and that the sum of .£29G 15s. 2d. be paid in reduction of the Cuba Street Extension mortgage. The retiring directors are Messrs. Flockton and Mncnrthy, who being eligible, ofFer themselves for re-election The retiring auditor is Mr. It. M. Lyon, who offers himself for re-election. The hoard suggests that until the mortgage bo paid off the dividend in any one year will not exceed the rate paid, viz., 121 per cent, per annum. They think this, is a wise course to adopt under all circumstances. Tho profit and loss account is as follows — Dr.—To dividend (12V per cent.
