CANTATA AT ST. PETER'S.

Tho difficult music of Stainer's beautiful cantata, "The Daughter of Jairus," was well rendered by St. Peter's choir last evening, in. the presence of a fairly large congregation. The soloists were, Miss E. Archer (soprano), Miss Stevens (soprano), Mr. Hoare (tenor), and Mr. Dbherty (bass), and Dr. W. Kington Fyffe was at the organ. The duet, "Love Divine, All Love Excelling," was specially finely sung by Miss Archer 'and Mr. Hoare. •At the conclusion of the cantata, the hymn, "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross," was sung by the congregation.
