Immigration. The number of passengers arriving at Wellington from oversea ports for the twelve months ended yesterday show an increase, and the samo applies to tho passengers leaving Wellington for overseas. The figures dealing with Chinese show very little variation as compared with the previous twelve months. Of the new arrivals 129 paid the poll tax of ,£IOO, the balance proving that they had been in the Dominion before.
