Sir Frederick Treves, lecturing at the- London Hospital on Radium, gave some astonishing instances of cures effected by the instrumentality of this marvellous element. One caso cited was that of a young woman who had a growth which nearly occupied-ono side of the face. She had had a great mimlier of operations, almost with no success. Under radium she was cured. A child of twelve years, with an angiomata, situated in the arm, the size of a hen's egg, was treated with radium from two sides, and was cured within four weeks. In many eases eczema itching had boon immediately -wired, and it did not return. .Radium would also cure rodent ulcere. A beautiful piece- of tapestry, 300 years old, has been discovered among th? muniments of Sleaford Parish Church.
