A MATCH AT POEIEUA. An enjoyable game of cricket was played on the Porirua Mental Hospital ground on Saturday, between a team representing Bing, Harris and Co., Wellington, and a team consisting of attendants and patients of the Porirna Mental Hospital. ". The visitors batted first, but failed to make any stand against the excellent bowling of the home team, who disposed of them for 20 runs, tho bowling analysis reading-.—T. Thompson, 5 overs, 2 maidens, G runs, i wickets; C. Morgan, 6 overs, 18 runs, 6 wickets. The home team in their venture made CG runs, Thompson contributing 24, thus winning the match by 31 runs. The most successful bowlers for the visitors were Patrick, 4 wickets for 15 runs, Murphy 2 for 12, and C'arruthers 2 for 15. Tho visitors were entertained after the match, and all spoke highly of their day's outing, and the hospitality which they rDceivcd at the bauds of the home team. THE TOP OTAGO ELEVEN.
