o TE ARO BATH. vw 22oy<is - nantlic aP race was cwum by the x.M.C.A. Club in the To Aro Baths yesterday afternoon, points counting for the Crouch Cup. Kesulti G. T. Hanna (28sec), 1; W. Morpeth (SSsec), 2 j E. Parton (GOsec), 3. W. Wilson (50 sec), W. Charters (fisee.j, and K. Baker (scr.), also started. Won on touch. Time, 3min. 27 seo. By this v;in Hanna obtains tho cup. B. O'Neill and H. Capper, of the Wellington Amateurs' Club, who tied in the race for the Missen Club, swam off the distance of 220 yds. in tho Tc Aro Baths yesterday afternoon. The result was a most exciting contest, tho contestants being neck and neck for the first 200 yds. O'Neill then gained about a yard on tho turn, and managed to retain that lead. Time, 3min. Bsec. A raco between the submarine miners resulted: P. Wilton, 1; W. Sullivan, 2. THORNDON CLUB. Despite the lateness of the season tho weather conditions wero perfect for the entrance of the Thorndon Amateurs' Club into the teams' rame, which was decided at the Thorndon Baths last evening. The winning team consisted of the following:—R. Henley, A. W. Smith, and K. Wiggins, tho runners-up being D. MacLeod, J. Picot, and J. Nelson, who suffered defeat by 'the narrowest of margins. A consolation race will be decided at the Thorndon Baths next Wednesday evening, and tho clvb will finally "ring down tho curtain" with music, song, and story on April C, at Godber's rooms, Cuba Street.
