SCHOOL CADET CAMPS.
' Sir,—l was very pleased to read, under ! tho above heading, in your issue of yester- ! day, tho very sensible opinions of "One Who I Knows.". They were specially refreshing after tho wild and foolish statements mr.do ' so frequently lately with regard to- camps. * Your correspondent is absolutely correct in ' all his contentions. I should; however, pres fer a full week for camp, viz., Friday tr I Thursday, and can assure you, since I speaV from expericnco, that it need not then dis 1 organise school work for more than tilt j six school days. , j The greatest obsthclo at present to school cadet camps is the necessary payment of 7 four shillings by each boy who attends. This results in n comparatively small attendance, and therefore in fewer advantages, and' in greater disorganisation ol school Work than should be. —I an), etc., ANOTHER ONE WHO KNOWS, i Wellington, March 19, 1909.
