In the "Chronicle" to-morrow morning the following will appear:—"Wo learn, on what we havo overy reason to beliove good authority, that there is every prospect of a strike of coalminers on a large sealo taking placo in the near future. Our informant statea that, for some time past, thero has -been considerable unrest among the miners on the West Coast, that n number of agitators arc busily afc work, and that everything is practically in readiness for the call. It, is further stated that the inineqwners arc alive to the position, and are taking combined action to moot the threatened emergency. "Our informant further alleges ilmt all the elements of one of the most serious industrial upheavals which the Dominion lias yot ■oxporionced are centred in the movement now in progress, and that, unless wiser counsels prevail, a crisis entailing serious loss upon workers, , and extending far beyond mining industries, is practically inevitable. 'You may publish this statement if you think fit, , concluded our informant. 'If you do you will provoke a chorus of yes and no from all parts of the Dominion, hut time will iirove that the information 1 have given you is founded on fact.'"
