BOROUGH COUNCIL RESOLUTIONS.

At a meeting of tho Timaru Borough Council to-night the Mayor mul Councillors oxpressed great satisfaction at the action of the Government in deciding to prcsont tlio Mother Country with a battleship, and decided to forward a motion of appreciation to the Prime Minister. The motion was carried unanimously, and the councillors, immediately on passing it, rose and sang a verse of the National Antliom.
