"On Thursday evening there was the usual meeting of .the members of tho intermediate soction of' tho Boys' Department, Mr. W. Eglin presided, and Mr. J. P. Lnke, M.P., gave an instructive address on "Cold Iron and Heat." There were thirty-six members present. Last-night there were upwards, of sixty lads present at tho meeting of the junior .section. . Tho hon. secretary presided, and Mr. A. R."AtkinsOn gave an address on "Cadets.", •Mr. Atkinson said that ho .was greatly struck with the'association's work,-and with the'vast amount of good that it was doing in the city.-; ■ ■ Trophies were presented to George Bates- andAthol Gibbons for the best bowling and battin» averages respectively. There are upwards of seventy entries so fur for the Easter Camp. The committee decided to extend the time limit for entries for a lew days longer.
