LICENSING ELECTIONS.

To-day is tho da 3* fixed for the election of Licensing Committees where they are required. As far as tho Wellington electorates are concerned there will be no elections, as only the requisite number of nominations were received for Wellington City and no nominations came in'from the Neivtown and Suburbs electorate. Jn the two latter cases tho Governor will appoint a committee. The Hutt candidates aro Messrs. J. Cotton, J. Cudby, H. E. Ryder, W. Insjlis, E, W. Short, Orton> Stevens, and M. W. Welch. , The Otaki nominations are: Messrs. H. Freeman, B. Ling, W. Tompsitt, J. M'Leavey, J. O'Connor, J. Gibson, Byron Brown, J. Barclay, J. Pearce, W. Galloway, and F. Taylor. .
