MILITARY TOURNAMENT.
There was a largo attendance at the Skating Rink last evening, in consequence of tho Military Tournament and Bazaar. An excellent musical programme was gone through, including items by tho Battalion Band and Miss Murray. Tho chief interest was centred in tho tug-of-war between the two unbeaten toams, Zealandia Rifles, and No. 3 Company Electric Light, who pulled a draw on Saturday. Intenso excitement prevailed right to the finish, when tho Zealandias won by the narrow margin of two inches, amidst cheers. Tho Groat Camp Firo Scene was again staged, a largo number of volunteers taking part. Good business was dono at the various sido shows and stalls. Tho bazaar will bo continued till the end of the week. To-night tho Guards and Navais will pull in tho semifinal of tho tug-of-war, tho Pipo Band will giyo musical selections, and there will be Highland, dances. The following is the position in the tug-of-war :— Won. Lost. Zealandias ... 2 0 Wellington. Guards 1 0 D Battery 1 0 Wellington Navais 1 0
