Tho Jury disagreed in. the trial <of tho aboriginal Billy Wilson, charged with tho murder of Miss Nellio Duffy, a governess at Carpentaria .Downs station. Accused was remanded to be tried at next sossions. Tho Crown entered a nolle prosequi in tho charge of murder.against Mrd. Wilson, yifo of tho manager of Carpentaria Downs station. FLnst September Miss Duffy was found' dead in bed at the Carpentaria Downs Station, with her-throat cut. . Mrs, Wilson, wifo of tho manager of the station* was arrested _and charged with the murder. The jibongmal Billy Wilson 'gave ovidence that he held Miss JJuit) in bed while .Mrs. Wilson stabbed her,v he said he acted in this way out of fear of accused and her husband. The aboriginal was then also charged with murder, and subsequently told another, story, to tho effect that Aldw.vn Wilson, stepson of Mrs. Wilson, and not Mrs. Wilson herself, murdered Miss Duffy.]
