CHIEFS DESIRE TO REMAIN'A DISTINCT UNIT. (DT TBLEGRAin—PRESS ABSOCUTION-^OPTBIQHT.) London, February 8. Four Basuto chiefs are the guesta of the Colonial Office. They camo to England to interview King Edward, because they resent the idea of Basutoland becoming an adjunct of Orange River Colony, in the event of South African unification, They desire that Basutoland should remain a distinct unit.
