A new kind of thistle has made its appearance on some Masterton firms. Specimons>which have been forwarded to the Grovcrnment Stock Office show a difference from the usual vanetj of-the pest. Ihere are only a few loaves, and these are spiked, rough, and thorny. The bloom appears to bo in an oval-shaped head,' which rests on long slim stalks. It is surmised that the thistle is a hybrid. '
