THE FAULTS OF OTHERS. Many people have a,genius for seeing the faults of others; but there is one peculiarity about this faculty which should be an interesting study for the psychologist—it is the tendency to oriticise most sharply thoso faults in others which are most prominent in ourselves. In other words, that which excites our greatest antagonism is the duplication of Our. own traits.. It would bo amusing, if it woro not disturbing and pathetic, to hear people oritioise mercilessly traits in othors which everybody recognises as being the special failings of the critics theirtselves. Now suppose, instead of finding out the faults of others—whether they bo like our own blemishes of character, or whether the.y ■differ—suppose, instead of doing this, wo wore to mako up our minds, just by flay of in experiment, that for a wholo day wo will find fault with nobody? It is an impossible iask; fault-finding is inevitable, it is part of human nature. If, at any time, you have occasion to find faults in us, be prompt to let us' kiiow, so that we may reotify our faults and make amend. If you have any kind and complimentary things to say of us, them to your friends and acquaintances. Don't tell us. DAINTY SUMMER COSTUMES. FASHION'S FAVOURITE STYLES.
