ANNIVERSARY MEETING.

The excellent singing of the children,' am sisted by a special orchestra, was the main feature of the public mooting in connection, with tho Terrace Congregational Sunday; School, held in tho church last evening. Tho Rot. J. Heed Glasson presided, supported by, tho Rev. W. A. Evans (Newtown) and Rev* Macdonald Ashland (Courtenay Place). Ad-' dresses were given by all three ministers. The annual report announced a diminution from 93 to 79 in tho Sunday School attendance. Tho decrease, it was stated, might cause some alarm, but that there were good reasons for an optimistic view of tho condition of tho school. Reference was made to illness among tho children and changes in tho teaching staff. Tho Young Men's Class had done good work under the leadership of Mr. Dakin. Some months ago the class had formed a gymnasium, collecting £10 Is. for the purpose. The Young Women's Class had addod £5 from tho proceeds of a sale of work, and there was now a debit balance of £9 6s. Bight scholars entered for the Sunday School Union examinations, and seven gained prizes or certificates. No special coaching was dono in the school. Tho financial report was satisfactory. Tho Rov.
