(FKOU ODD SrEOIACi COKnES?ONDEMa.) FEATHERSTON. In the Methodist Church on 'Thursday evening the Rev. ■J. J. Lewis, of Palmerston North, delivered a lecture to. a fair audience, under the auspices of the Home Mission. He took' as hisi subject, "Personal Recollections of Popular Preachers," and at the conclusion of His address a collection was taken up iu aid of the Homo Mission Fund. Stock Inspector Hubbard, was on an official visit to the Featherstotf district ott" Thursday; for the purpose of reminding farmers and others that the time has arrived for clearing gorse and broom.
