DAIRY EMPLOYEES' DEMANDS.
! The Taranaki Dairy Employees' Union has now decided, according to a Taranaki exchange, to wait till the Arbitration Act Amendment comes into operation at the heginning of next year, before it applies to the'Court-for an award. ; Tho union some time ago had a conference, with tho Employers' Union, which, rejected its demands, and "arrangements were accordingly made for taking the formal ballot of its members and complying with the other preliminaries laid down by the.old Act before taking an award to Court. It has, however, been found that the new Act so simplifies tho procedure that very little time will be lost and a good deal of trouble saved by waiting till January to take advantage of its provisions. ■
