INSTITUTE OF JOURNALISTS.

The adjourned annual general meeting of the Now Zealand Institute of Journalists was held yesterday afternoon in the Press Room, Parliamentary Buildings. Thero was a satisfactory attendance. Mr. F. K. Reeves, of Wellington, was appointed president for the - ensuing year, and Messrs. W T . S. Douglas (Auckland), C. E. Wheeler (Wellington), and G. R. Allen (Christchurch) vice-presidents. A resolution was passed affirming the neces- . sity of a permanent appropriation from the. -' general funds, as a slight recognition of the work ontailed upon, the general secretary.
