ENTERTAINMENTS.
"THE OLD FOLKS AT HOME." Last evening's performance by the members of the Meynell and Gunn Dramatic Company, at the Opera House, of the attractive domestic drama "The Old Folks at Homo" drew a large and appreciative audience. Tonight will be positively the last opportunity of witnessing the play, the charming "picanimiies" sceno, and of hearing tho catchy series of bright coon songs which are a feature of the performance. FULLER'S PICTURES. Practically every seat in tho Theatre Royal was occupied last evening, when tho second exhibition of tho fino series of kinematograpliio pictures presented to their patrons by tho Messrs. Fuller was thrown oil tho screen. Tho pictures evoked enthusiastic appreciation. "From Quebec to Montreal— up the St. Lawrcnco River" is a remarkably fine film; "Tho Rich Uncle," "Hurry Up, Please," and "Tho Sportsmen and tho Hat that Camo Back" are a mirtlr-provoking series; while pathos is represented by "A Child's Forgiveness." The whole series is of a most entertaining description, and should prove a strong attraction for tho current week.
HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. To ensure a long and highly popular run in connection with any form of public entertainment, it" is necessary that the quality of that entertainment shall bo of more than average merit. Tho fact that the popularity of the cinematograph fare provided weekly at His Majesty's Theatre shows no signs of diminishing may, therefore, bo taken as a sufficient indication of its high quality. The current programme is quite up to the usual standard set by tho management of the lloyal Pictures Syndicate, and as to-night will seo the last of tho present series, tho public should not fail to muster in force. A complete change of programmo will bo arranged for to-morrow evening. PROFESSIONAL ORCHESTRA. The _ 'Wclliiigtou Professional Orchestra will give its first popular concert in tho Opera House on Thursday next. The orchestra, which includes soveral mombers of the lato Exhibition Orchestra, has been preparing a very fine programmo, which will include a brilliant selection from the "Fortune Teller," tho introduction to the third act of "Lohengrin," tile charming "Si'zillicta," tho "Air de Ballet," from-Massinot's "Scenes Pittoresquo," and a clarionot solo by Mr. H. Mosohini. Tho descriptive items will bo "Tho, Forge in tho Forost," in which the necessary effects will bo introduced, and tho popular valso "Lustigi Cruder." The vocalists on this occasion will ho Miss Amy Hyde (soprano) and Mr._ Err,est Parlces (baritone). The box plan is on view at tho Dresden,' no extra charge being made for booking.
ORGAN RECITAL. The "Storm' Fantasie" by Wely, that popular descriptive piece, will bo played by Mr. Maughan Burnett at his weekly organ recital this evening. Included .in tho very attractive programme is tho Andante (2nd Symphony) by Mozart (arranged by tho lato Mr. Tallis Trimnell), a Tory, popular and delightful piece, and Thomas's Gavotte "Mignon," so that tho' uiidienco are assured a delightful recital. SAILORS' REST. Tlio usual large and enthusiastic audienco of sailors which attend tho weekly reunions at tho Sailors' Rest assembled last night for tho concert by Miss Winnie Pieraru, who was assisted by tho following-.—Misses Manning, Anderson, and Warrington, and Messrs. Redgrave, Wilson, Pierartl, Fenton, Watkins, and M'Leod. Each item on tho long and varied programmo (which included 'cello numbers, recitations, character sketches, otc.), met with hearty applause. Tho concert for next Monday is being arranged by the Misses Bengo and Brown.
