School spirit is beginning to manifest itselfin the Technical School in tho same manner as in other secondary • institutions. At - a dinner held by the old boys of the school last Friday, Mr. La Trobe announced that tho matter of forming an oldy boys'' asso-' ciation was being kept steadily ;in view. Speaking to a Dominion representative yesterday, he; said that the idcri, of forming. the old boys' association, which will bo'a body' largely for the fostering of school sport, was first conceived ■•when it was noticed that a ' number of old pupils of the Technical School were joining outside football" clubs. -It 1 was thought a pity that-good material should be ■' lost in this manner, and tho, idea suggested itself,-i why should these boys who: wero brought together for study; not iiijito also for sport?
