DISTRESSING ACCIDENT.

A very distressing accident occurred in.the School Itond, off Crescent Road, St. Albans, this morning, A little girl named Gibbons, about five years of : 'ago, was playing in front of the firo, when h"er clothing caught alight, and in a-few moments she was enveloped in flames. Dr, Gorald Russell was called in, and was promptly: in attendance, but found ■ the littlo girl in 'a very pitiable condition. Slie was shockingly burned all about tlio body, her right arm being practically charrcd, .The doctor banda'ged tlio littlo sufferer, and alleviated hor agony as much as possible, and then removed her to tlio hospital in his motor-car.
