At Mount Cook Polico Court, before Mr. T. S. Lambert, J.P., Arthur Scott appeared for tho thirty-fourth timo charged with drunkenness, having being three times previously convicted of insobriety within six months. A prohibition order had beon taken out against him. Ho pleaded guilty, and stated that ho could not keep , tho order, and as an "habitual drunkard" he was sentenced to three months' imprisonment. Joseph Barron, for drunkenness, having been in tho coll since Saturday, was convicted and discharged. Matthew Bitchless, for drunkenness, was fined ss. or twentyfour hours. A first, 'offender was fined 55., the amount of his forfeited bail.
