"The Times" says':—"The woman's suffrage procession was a spectacle of beauty unparalleled among political . processions. The speeches were distinguished by dignity and resorve, showing that a cortain number of earnest, hard-working women, including somo of considerable distinction, are genuinely anxious for tho suffrage; but the demeanour of tho crowds of spectators, though respectable and good-humoured, evinced little real support of, the' movement, and still loss enthusiasm." Tho "Daily News" hopes that the proces : sion will convinco Mr. Asquith that there is an effective demand among women for the franchise. "Liber.il?," adds the paper, "ought to grant a roform ■without, which democracy is incomplete."
