Maelcay (an Anglo-Indian merchant, who has served on many Government committees), and included tho eminent financier, Sir Felix Schustcr and Sir David Barbour. The committeo unanimously reported in favour of ail annual expenditure during tho next eight years of 12} million - sterling' on railway construction and development. It proposes that nine millions of the money bo raised in London, during years- in which market conditions aro normal; and that the balanco bo raised in India.
