IMPROVENMENTS CONTEMPLATED. The Ground. Committee of the Wairarapa and' East Coast P.;and.A.. Society met on the showgrounds at Carterton on Friday last, and. elected Mr. W. Howard Booth (vice-president) to be chairman for ,tho ensuing year. It was resolved to romove the log jump, which has been in existence for so many years,'and to place the. swing gate, in the position the log jump occupied, also, to have a water jump in the centre of . the oval, of the same size as that in tho Manawatu show-, grounds.' _ ■ . , . • The committee decided to erect twentyfive, new cattle / stall§, continuing; the long Jino 'ol; stalls already, in existence,'in view of the fact that;the' dairying classes; and the.-support they receive.are'increasing-year by year. _. . ... . The- committee .made an inspection, of the grounds, and passed recommendations to, the General Committee to sanction. other minor improvements; ;
