If tho attitude of'the Press counts for anything, Mr. Hearst's new "National Independ-ence-party" will have little support in tho coinins- campaign. Hardly a newspaper outside of 1 his own group-'of journals has a good word for it. But in his campaign for Mayor of Newi York- tho same thing was true, and lie polled onough votes to put tho result in doubt.—"Literarv Digest" New York.
