Mrs. Eddy, founder and leader of > the Christian Scioneo movement, offers to found a Christian Science institution fV tho special benefit of the poor and tho general good of ; monlcind at a cost of a million dollars. Sirs. Eddy's business ability and soundness of iuiud wore recently questioned in Uio American v courts by her son; and by- relatives v.-lio brought a suit to compel the officials of the Christian Science Association to tako accounts, as- between the Association's funds and her private means. The aged lady camo fairly well through her medical examination, nail the case was withdrawn. Her Christian science ways of treating disease and her general methods have been scathingly attacked bv Marl; Twain.
