YACHTING.
Tho members of Port Nicholson Yacht Club and thoir friends woro ontertained on Saturday afternoon by tho Commodore of tho Fleet, Dr.'' Foil, and Mrs. Fell, at their homo at Mahina Bay. A fresh south-wost breeze was blowing, and tho boats went across under full sail. Tho Mahina went over early in tho day, and was followed in tho afternoon by tho Waitangi, Wairorc, Janet, Petrel, Mabaki, May, Malua, Ibex, Moana, Harrior, and Tainui. Many of tho guosts went across in tho yachts, and tho others wero conveyed by the Duco, which was to disembark them intc boats at Mahina Bay, but though two boats came out to meet the Duco, it was thought better to take the passengers on to Day's Bay, from where they walked round to tho Commodore's seaside homo. Thoro wero to have been dinghy races during tho afternoon, but there was rather too much sea on to mako it worth whilo attempting this.
