The weekly meeting of the members of the Junior Department of the Y.M.C.A. was held at) the Rooms last evening, when there were present eighty-five lads. Mr. W. C. Heinery presided, and, in the absence of Mr. H. N. Hollies, who- is away from .town for a few days, the Rev. C. Porter addressed tho lads on."ldeals." Next Thursday the Social Com- • mittee will have cliargo of the meeting, which will be tho last until January 0. There will be a diving competition for the lads on Wednesday next at the Te Aro Baths, at 5.30 p.m.
